A blog about buying church chairs?

If you have somehow stumbled upon this blog, the first question you may be asking yourself is “why does someone feel the need to blog about church chairs!?”

This is a good question — but if you have ever had to go through the process of selecting and purchasing chairs for your church — you might already know the answer!

Buying church chairs is:

  • CONFUSING
  • OVERWHELMING
  • EXPENSIVE
  • FRUSTRATING
  • FAITH SHAKING

If you are like me, when you started to look into buying church chairs (by “church chairs” I mean worship seating — chairs for your sanctuary) you realized it wasn’t as simple as finding a chair that matched the decor of your church and dropping them into your shopping cart.  NOPE!

When buying church chairs there are a BUNCH of things to consider that I had never considered.  Sure, I figured there would be some shopping around for the best price — but I had no idea I would need a PHD in frame styles, types of foam, fire codes, back styles, fabrics, pre-assembled vs. self-assembled, freight options…  My head quickly started spinning!

I knew I wanted cheap but it was made unclear if I was looking at quality with a cheap price or if I was looking at cheap junk.

Anyhow, this blog may be of interest to nobody but at least for me it will help me VENT through sharing my experience — “MY CHURCH CHAIR NIGHTMARE“!  So that is what I will do here…  Share my experience and hopefully help someone avoid the headaches I went through or, if not, then at least just have a place to vent about what a pain it was/is to buy new chairs for a church!
